ABOUT TEAMJASON.ORG
Dear TeamJason.org Friends and Family,
A year ago, we had the pleasure of meeting Jason. He joined the communications and social marketing team at a health education, information and communications firm. He immediately had a tremendous impact on the team. He was bright, energetic and above all he understood what it meant to be a team player.
- When a colleague needed help meeting a deadline, Jason was the first person to volunteer.
- When we needed someone to take on an extra project, Jason stepped up to the plate.
- And when the team grew, Jason became a one-man welcoming team, always ensuring our new colleagues received a proper
introduction to the firm.
When we learned that Jason’s cancer had returned, the team decided it was time to show Jason what we all learned from him: the power of teamwork. Many of the staff donated vacation days, others organized and contributed to a get-well gift basket, and others developed this Web site.
Having worked in health care for many years, unfortunately we know all too well that in the United States people who face medical crises not only have to worry about their health, but they also have the added stress of figuring out how to pay for their medical care. Even if someone has health insurance, it never covers the skyrocketing costs of medical care. This just isn’t right.
Thus TeamJason.org was born. We set up the Web site with the goal of raising money to help defray the costs of Jason’s medical expenses. Hopefully we will also eliminate any financial stress that Jason is facing so he can instead focus on a healthy recovery.
Please forward this Web site address to others you know so we can spread the word about TeamJason.org.
Sincerely,
Kim Callinan and Curtis Pond
